Real-Life Situations
An airport, a restaurant, a hotel, a shop, a business meeting or an everyday conversation. You practise what you may actually face, not abstract examples.
An international platform where languages are learned through action, dialogue and context.
Methodology
Every scenario is built around a communication task, not around a grammar topic.
An airport, a restaurant, a hotel, a shop, a business meeting or an everyday conversation. You practise what you may actually face, not abstract examples.
Language practice unfolds through characters, locations and story-driven scenes. You are inside the story, not looking at a list of tasks.
Characters respond to what you meant and how you said it, not only to correct grammar. Your choices change how the conversation goes.
A short mini-game appears only when it supports what is happening in the scene. Practice stays part of the conversation instead of becoming a separate exercise.
AI in Sparrway
AI has two roles in Sparrway. It helps authors build scenarios, and it plays the characters you talk to.
When you create a scenario, AI helps with the structure, the communication goals, the characters, the dialogue, the response options and the mini-games. The idea stays yours. AI takes the routine off your hands.
Inside a scene, AI plays the character in front of you. It stays within the role, the situation and the purpose of the scene, and reacts to what you actually said.
AI does
Helps authors shape structure, goals and dialogues
Plays characters that react to meaning and tone
Keeps every scene inside its role and purpose
AI does not
Replace a teacher or a learning programme
Decide for the learner
Go outside the scenario the author designed
Progress
Two simple ideas behind the result you see at the end of every scenario.
The communication result of a scenario. In plain words, what you were able to do: book a table, explain a problem, take part in a meeting. It describes the goal you reached, not the words you memorised.
A single communication action inside a scenario: greet the host, ask about free tables, suggest another time. Each one is tracked separately, so you can see exactly which actions worked and which need another try.
Example In the Restaurant scenario the outcome may be “you booked a table and handled a change of plan”. Behind it sit separate actions: greet the host, ask about free tables, suggest another time. Progress is measured by what you can do in a conversation, not by how many exercises you finished.
Mission and team
Our mission is to build an international interactive environment where people can do more than learn languages. They can communicate, share experiences and create stories of their own.
As Sparrway grows, more languages, creators and scenarios from different countries will become part of the platform. Learning, communication and creativity come together in one place.
